Claystudio

CLAYSTUDIO:
Ceramics After-School Outreach

An after-school art enrichment program for grades K – 5 in Guilford County where we go to your school, recreation center, etc. to provide an accessible and affordable visual art enrichment ceramics program. Participants learn through hands-on lessons beginning with an introduction to how clay is made and an overview of how clay is transformed from mud to a complete, glazed piece of art.  The art-making process is completed at the school and then pieces are transported to our facility for glazing.

The CVA works with school or parent representatives to design a class to meet the needs and preferences of any school group. Program usually runs in one day per week class sessions for 6 - 8 weeks. Class length is 1.5 to 2 hours. This program is only offered as a multiple week session due to the subject matter.
